Tuesday, August 05, 2008 New Semantic Ad Network Takes on Google AdSense Peer39, an ad network that processes the meaning of text on web pages and delivers related ads, will help make advertising more relevant to viewers, CEO Amiad Solomon says. Basing ads around keywords on a page, as Google AdSense does, can yield tangential results. A page about a trip to Hawaii that mentions taking photos might display camera ads rather than travel ads, according to Solomon. Peer 39's semantic advertising (advertising based around the meaning of text) will instead consider the full context of a page. Peer39 has insider knowledge about AdSense's flaws. The people behind Peer39 invented AdSense, sold it to Google early on, and are working to develop the next generation of that technology, Solomon says. The July/August issue of MIT's Technology Review named Peer39 one of the Ten Web Start-ups to Watch in 2008. --Kelsey Blodget, Associate Producer http://www.beet.tv/2008/08/google-adsense.html

RAW Test footage found here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GBUBVDI3 Here is my first review, for the new video camera i bought, the Canon HV20. Overall I rate this camera 9/10 I know there is a model up called the Canon HV30 but the price is higher with barely any new features except 30p rather than 24p. Here is details on the Canon HV20 Complete High Definition Video Camera # True progressive HD CMOS (1920 x 1080) utilizing Canon's 20 years of EOS technology and development. # Fully specified HD video camera with progressive HD CMOS, HD video lens and DiG!C DV II processor with exceptional processing capabilities enabling high speed processing of progressive HD, a specification for digital HDTV broadcasting. # HDMI output for connection to HDTV and HDV output for HD streaming. # High definition images deserve complementary audio of Stereo Sound. With manual audio control and four channel audio playback. # Superior Technology to Ensure Optimum HD Footage Super Range OIS, a feature of professional video cameras, has all the benefits of OIS but also compensates for rhythmic movement such as hand held sway and breathing. Increased resolution of HD demands higher focus accuracy. Instant AF, is a triangulation metering method for fast and sharp focusing on demand. Additional Features for Creative Control # 13 AE Modes from simple auto filming to Cinematic 25PF for cinematic filming or shutter priority (Tv) shutter mode for motion filming # Simultaneous photo shooting to Mini SD while movie recording # Focus dial for creative control and ability to create preset zoom effects # Back Light Correction button to minimise underexposure issues such as silhouetting # Advanced accessory shoe to support video light, flash unit # Microphone and headphone jacks # HDV/DV in/out, HDMI output, Full Speed USB, component output, AV in/out # Joystick to control focus, exposure, auto exposure and white balance # Zebra function to highlight on display the overexposed areas of footage while filming More Details found here: http://www.canon.com.au/products/digi... Nokia 6120 Classic - The Nokia Duck Review
![]()
The 6120 Classic is a low-priced and small-sized Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP1 smartphone with a monoblock/candybar form factor. It's extremely small and cheap compared to other smartphones, but has processing power and features similar to the much more expensive N95. The 6121 Classic is absolutely identical to the 6120 Classic, but has a slightly different set of 3G/WCDMA/UMTS frequencies. This video accompanies the Nokia Duck review of the phone. CNET Review - Sony KDL-46Z4100/B Plasma TV
![]()
The good: Accurate primary colors and color decoding; reproduces relatively deep black levels; solid dejudder processing; sleek styling with compact cabinet; plenty of connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input; can access photos over the home network. The bad: The bad: Occasional backlight fluctuation in dark areas; less accurate color decoding; red trails visible in some moving material, network streaming excludes music and video files. The bottom line: Sony's well-featured, smartly styled KDL-46Z4100 performs well enough, but its picture doesn't match that of the best LCDs. Thanks so much for Watching!! Review of the SanDisk Ultra II 2GB SD Card
![]()
This is a great product from SanDisk. It features a 15mb/s transfer rate, meaning faster access to pictures while using the camera, faster "processing" time when photo is being saved to card, and faster transfer onto your personal computer. Great product 5 out 5 stars. Any questions? Please leave a comment or drop me a message in my inbox.
